A Yoga, Mindfulness & Ayurveda Day Retreat

Are you ready to rediscover your inner peace?

We're half way through the year and living in a digital world coupled with our busy lives have left us disconnected us from our mind and bodies. Mindful Medicine wants to help you rediscover your inner peace and reconnect with your bodies through a rejuvenating yoga and mindfulness  day retreat. 

How?

A day retreat where you will take part in a walk and take session, yoga and meditation classes, mindfulness seminars and an Ayurvedic class. (all activities optional of course!) 

Itinerary

9am - 9:45am (optional): Walk and Talk with the Doc

10am - 10:15am: Arrival, meet and greet

10:30am - 11:30am: Yoga Part 1

11:30am - 11:45am: Nutrition break (plant-based snacks provided)

11:4am - 12:45pm: Discovering Mindfulness (Expand your capacity to see, learn and grow as an individual by discovering the power of Mindfulness and Mindfulness Meditation)

12:45pm - 1:45pm: Lunch (plant-based lunch provided), personal time, interactive discussion

1:45pm - 4:00pm: Practicing Mindfulness (Cultivate the practice of Mindfulness Meditation to improve well being, reduce stress and live in the present moment)

4:00pm - 4:15pm: Nutrition break (plant-based snacks provided)

4:15pm - 5:00pm: Yoga Part 2

Who? 

Dr. Sangeeta Oza

Dr. Oza is a traditionally trained western medicine physician. Throughout her 30+ year career, she realized that although western medicine has an important role to play, integrating lifestyle medicine is just as important, if not more and therefore, founded Mindful Medicine.

 

She is passionate about empowering individuals with education to understand that they have the power to improve their own health, changing the way they eat, think and live.

Dr. Oza will be hosting the walk and talk and conducting interactive discussions over the course of the retreat. 

Lauren Brown

Lauren is a Wellness Educator, Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist and an E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher) with over 1000 hours teaching experience.  She has facilitated Mindfulness and self-care classes for numerous organizations including the University of Toronto and Providence Healthcare.  Lauren holds a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University and is a Master of Education student at OISE where she is studying Adult Education and Community Development.  Lauren's studies focus on well-being in the workplace and work-life balance. 

Janika Oza

Janika began practicing yoga at the age of 11 and has been teaching since 2013. She is a graduate of the YogaSpace 200 hour Teacher Training Program in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and is a member of the Yoga Alliance. She has also trained in Kundalini Yoga and incorporates meditation and chanting into her classes. 

Janika will be hosting your daily yoga and meditation sessions to help you leave relaxed and rejuvenated from a fun, healthy weekend retreat! 

Mamta Pranjivan

Mamta graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Her natural curiosity of the yogic sciences and desire for personal development led her to train in Hatha and Kundalini yoga. She has shared the yogic teachings and practices instructing yoga classes. Imbued with her Indian heritage and upbringing within a culture incorporating food, lifestyle and spirituality for health and healing, Mamta delved into her roots through the study of Ayurveda. While based out in UK wshe earned her Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice in Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University, London. She is very enthusiastic about sharing the authentic knowledge of Ayurveda and provide guidance in implementing Ayurveda’s health promotive, disease preventative and treatment approaches.

The breath-taking southern Ontario town, Niagara-on-the-lake located at the mouth of the Niagara River. With vineyards just steps away and its' serene surroundings, you're welcome to feel at home and take a stroll.

Pricing

All activities including snacks and lunch $200.00 CDN/person
