Now that summer's coming to an end, let's refresh ourselves for the fall and winter months!
We know how precious your weekends are, we also know how important your health is. With our busy day-to-day lives we understand that pursuing a healthy lifestyle seems daunting, or even impossible. However, we assure your that it's not as hard as it may seem.
Our Mindful Medicine team wants to empower you to take control of your life by inspiring, educating and supporting you through a relaxing 3-day retreat.
A 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday) where you will take part in a variety of healthy living workshops, fire-pit discussions, hands-on cooking skills seminars, fitness classes, nature walks, interactive culinary tours, whole food plant-based themed meals and relaxation techniques such as yoga and meditation (all activities optional of course!)
Dr. Sangeeta Oza
Dr. Oza is a traditionally trained western medicine physician. Throughout her 30+ year career, she realized that although western medicine has an important role to play, integrating lifestyle medicine is just as important, if not more and therefore, founded Mindful Medicine.
She is passionate about empowering individuals with education to understand that they have the power to improve their own health, changing the way they eat, think and live.
Dr. Oza will be hosting healthy living workshops and debunking various health-related myths while conducting interactive discussions over the course of the retreat.
Maira Botelho Perotto
Maira is a Registered Dietitian, RD, with over 15 years of experience working in community health, primary care, school nutrition and research settings. During her work in family health, where she counselled individuals and families and conducted health education sessions at the health unit and in workplaces, she became increasingly interested in nutrition applied to health promotion and disease prevention.
She is excited to join the Mindful Medicine team, and to share her skills and knowledge of food and nutrition to help clients build a healthier lifestyle
Maira will be hosting multiple workshops through the the retreat discussing numerous aspects of nutrition
Janika began practicing yoga at the age of 11 and has been teaching since 2013. She is a graduate of the YogaSpace 200 hour Teacher Training Program in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and is a member of the Yoga Alliance. She has also trained in Kundalini Yoga and incorporates meditation and chanting into her classes.
Janika will be hosting your daily yoga and meditation sessions to help you leave relaxed and rejuvenated from a fun, healthy weekend retreat!
Kiki is a passionate Holistic Health Advocate and Founder of Mindfully Edible - an educational resource for mindful living, including articles, videos, as well as in-person workshops and retreats.
She has immersed herself in the world of holistic nutrition and health, completing various naturopathic medicine courses and other related wellness education certifications.
Kiki will be hosting interactive cooking skills seminars to not only provide you with delicious snacks but also teach you how to recreate them at home to help you continue your wellness journey
The breath-taking southern Ontario town, Niagara-on-the-lake located at the mouth of the Niagara River. With vineyards just steps away and its' serene surroundings, you're welcome to feel at home and take a stroll. Overnight accommodations can be made at any nearby B&B.

September 23rd: 8:00am - 8:30pm
September 24th: 8:00am - 5:00pm
To enjoy the full Mindful Medicine experience, we'd love to have you there for the entire weekend Friday-Sunday. Though we do start our education and activities from Friday night, in order to accommodate any constraints, 1 or 2 day attendance is an option as well.
Friday is on the house if you chose to join us for Saturday and/or Sunday!

Saturday only: $500.00
Sunday only: $300.00
Note: prices include workshops and activities only, overnight accommodation not included. Overnight accommodation can be made at a local B&B.
